The olive museum celebrates the ancient farming tradition that characterizes the mountainsides closest to the Mediterranean.

It also highlights the city of Imperia, which has a longstanding mercantile tradition, commemorated by an elegant historical city center from the Savoy era and a large port area, currently used for nautical tourism.

Your visit can be extended to see the small olive oil producers in the valleys of the area as well as a visit to an artisanal soap maker, that historically used the the leftovers from making olive oil to craft their soaps.  

ACTIVITIES: The Olive museum visit can be combined with a visit to the Carli Brothers factory, along with an olive oil tasting that will lead you to discover the various profumes of the oil – symbol of the Mediterranean diet.
