Libereso Guglielmi was chosen by Mario Calvino, father of the writer Italo, to work at the Experimental Botanical Station he directed. After this first successful experience, his constant research and love for botany and nature led him all the way to London. He became one of the most renowned figures in the field of botany and plant culture, while continuing to remain a free thinker.
